What should we bring to a pre-wedding photoshoot?

Bring comfortable walking shoes, any agreed outfit change and a layer suitable for the weather. Choose clothes you can sit and move in, and check access, travel and changing arrangements before the session.

You do not need a collection of props or practised poses. Tell your photographer how you would like the session to feel and share any worries beforehand.

Keep the plan manageable

A single location can give you more time for photographs and less time travelling. Choose somewhere with variety nearby, and check permission if the space is privately managed.

Plan what you will wear

Try moving and sitting in your chosen clothes. Bring comfortable shoes for walking and discuss where you would change if you want a second outfit.

Have a weather conversation

Ask what happens if heavy rain or strong wind makes the session difficult. Agree a sheltered alternative or a rescheduling arrangement before the date.
